Parent Training Course

This course is a 5-hour parent training series, focused on helping parents and caregivers learn about behavior, how to change behavior, and ways to promote skills in their children. This online video-based learning solution provides Parents with practical information, real-life examples, and skills to care for and support loved ones with autism spectrum disorder. The Parent Training course presents therapies to develop their child’s potential.

Autism is known as a “spectrum” disorder because of the way the signs manifest and the severity of the symptoms vary greatly from one child to another. Parents are in the best position to observe and monitor their child’s development.

Autism Spectrum Disorder presents itself by manifesting difficulties in two areas:

  • social communication and social interaction; and
  • restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities.

The first signs of ASD emerge and become apparent within the first two years. For example, you may see that the child is having difficulty with making eye contact, not pointing, or using other gestures, not responding to his or her name and does not engage with others. This course provides expert advice from our team of Behavior Analyst professionals. Parents are taught solutions for dealing with the child’s sensory issues.
